Ottawa Irish defeat Team Forces on Parliament Hill |

The much anticipated match between the Ottawa Irish select side and
Team Forces took place on May 27, 2009 on Parliament Hill. It was a hard
fought game that raised more than $27,000 for the Military Families Fund.
The early rain did not deter supporters as hundreds of supporters turned up
to experience history in the making.
Fans were treated to a tight game of elite level rugby featuring some of
Canada's most notable players. Ultimately the Irish emerged with a
6-5 victory (30-25) with the fans cheering both teams leaving the field. |
