A terrific, full squad effort today. 28 players took the field Vs a Scottish squad in a 2's exhibition match. Several players had their first Irish experience and performed admirably. The Irish took a big lead early, and weatherd a late storm from the Scottish to hold on for a strong win. Plenty of players are playing exceptionally well and putting their name into the conversations for selection to the 1's.
The 1's faced a talented Kingston Panthers team, and the match was a see-saw contest from start to finish. While we enjoyed a well-earned win, we will also learn some valuable lessons. Nonetheless, a hard fought pair of wins for both squads made for a great day for the Irish!
