The Irish welcomed Barrie RFC to Ottawa today. Cold and wet conditions did not dampen the enthusiasm both clubs brought to the 1s and 2s games. Despite the weather the Irish were still able to play the brand of rugby we have trained for. Most encouraging was our ability to challenge Barrie's defence by producing quick ball and, in spite of the conditions, play with good speed and continuity. The 2s also had some good passages of play and several players had terrific games, gaining valuable experience in the process. Thanks to Barrie for making the trip to the capital!
